Do all of the villas have pools?
Yes. All of our villas have private swimming pools.
Do I need to take Malaria pills?
If you are planning on travelling to Lombok, your doctor may suggest taking Malaria pills. We have never heard of a case of Malaria on Gili Trawangan, however, if you are planning on travelling to the mountainous areas in Lombok you may want to take antimalarials. Mosquito repellent is available readily on the island.
How long does it take to get from Bali to Gili Trawangan by fast boat?
The fast boat takes approximately 2.5 hours. You will be picked up at your hotel in Bali at approximately 7 am, departing at the harbour at 8 am and arriving on Gili Trawangan at 10.30 am.
Can I get to Gili Trawangan on the same day I arrive in Bali?
Yes, you can as long as you don’t arrive too late into Bali. However, you will need to take a domestic flight from Bali to Lombok. We will arrange a car to collect you from Lombok International Airport. The journey is about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Lombok International Airport, then a 15-minute speedboat trip to Gili Trawangan. If you wish to travel by fast boat from Bali, you will need to wait until the following morning.
Do you have children’s bicycles or baby seats?
Yes, we do have children’s bicycles and baby seats to put on the back of bikes. Please let us know in advance.
What is the weather like?
The rainy season on Gili Trawangan is between November and April and the dry season is from April to October. During the rainy season, the rains come in heavy downpours which are quickly replaced with sunny weather. The temperature is very consistent with little change in between the season. Typically, the temperature is around 30 degrees Celsius.
Methanol poisoning in Gili Trawangan?
You may have heard of a few cases of methanol poisoning on Gili Trawangan. We recommend our guests only drink imported alcohol while they are in Indonesia. Kelapa Luxury Villas only sells imported spirits. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to ask our staff regarding this matter.
Do I need a Visa for Indonesia?
Depending on your passport, there are three options to enter Indonesia that apply to most travellers that come for tourist purposes:
- No Visa required (majority of countries – FREE entry, 30 days valid, NOT extendable)
- Visa on Arrival (35US$, 30 days valid, extendable (once for 30 days))
- Visa needed (apply abroad before arriving in Indonesia)
